Our Rooms
Tweedle-Dee ( 3 - 14 months)
This room accommodates a maximum of 6 children with 2 permanent members of staff, both fully qualified nursery nurses. Both are experienced in looking after babies, allowing us to understand the anxieties that you may experience at this emotional time and work in partnership with you as parents.
Our warm and homely atmosphere allows us to provide a stimulating environment to enhance the development of your child.
The EYFS curriculum is followed and activities are provided to meet your child's individual needs.
Our relaxed and happy room offers inclusion for all.
Tweedle-Dum ( 14 - 20 months)
Ofsted regulations allow us to accommodate a maximum of 9 children in this room, in this room we have lots of space for more mobile and active children, encouraging independence and individuality.
We have 3 dedicated members of staff in this room, our deputy manager is based in this room and is a mum of a young child who has recently gone through the stages your child is approaching, and a nursery nurse who has over 2 years experience working with this age group and a nursery nurse who is currently training.
Our positive and stimulating environment encourages your child to grow creatively and develop a sense of achievement.
Your child will be involved in the EYFS curriculum, which will involve exploring the world around them through tactile and messy activities.
During this essential time of growth we believe in making each and every day different and fun.
Mad-Hatters (20 - 27 months)
A spacious room that can accommodate 9 children this allows for the increasing independence of your child e.g. toilet training.
We have a fully qualified nursery nurse who has lots of experience with this age, and 2 nursery nurses who are currently training.
We provide free access to activities and equipment, encouraging your child to make decisions for themselves and develop curiosity. We help your child build on their inquisitiveness and allow them to explore new activities.
The fun, energetic and active environment allow for your child to communicate and learn through play.
Busy Bees (2 - 3 year olds)
A dedicated building for 16 children with instant access to outdoor learning.
We have 2 fully qualified nursery nurses and 2 nursery nurses who are traning. Our room leader in this room is a fully qualified mature nursery nurse with a grown up family of her own, all the staff in this room have extensive experience in this age group.
The language rich environment allows your child to extend their vocabulary.
The relaxed atmosphere is accompanied with boundaries that the children understand.
The equipment and resources allow children choice and self sufficiency. We provide positive activities to encourage imagination and enhance concentration.
We help your child build relationships and play cooperatively.
Learning Land (3 - 5 year olds)
Preschool have a dedicated floor that can hold 26 children, we aim to only have 24 at any one time to ensure continued development for your child.
This unit has 2 full time, fully qualified nursery nurses, 1 part time fully qualified nursery nurse who is also our SENCO she helps us meet every child?s individual needs. We also have a nursery nurse who is currently training. Our room leader in this room has her own family of young boys so is very experienced with children of this age.
Twice a week we have a fully qualified teacher who spends the morning with your child focusing on science, maths and horticulture. Together all the staff in this unit provide your child with a sound foundation ready for school.
The staff use this well equipped room and their expertise to promote self esteem and self image to help your child become a successful learner, and are provided with continuous training to keep up to date with current thinking.
